Candle Care
A few simple practices will help you get the most from your Simply Elegant candle — and keep your home safe.
Trim the Wick
Before each burn, trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch. This prevents sooting and ensures an even, clean flame.
The First Burn
On the first burn, allow the candle to burn long enough for the wax to pool to the edges of the vessel. This prevents tunneling and sets the memory of the candle.
Burn Maintenance
Keep the candle away from drafts while burning. Avoid burning for extended periods to prevent the vessel from overheating.
Safe Placement
Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable objects, children, and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
When to Discontinue
Discontinue use when approximately ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel. Do not let the candle burn all the way down.
